Lightweight and robust, the Nikon 500mm lens’s body was designed for protection against dust, water, and freezing temperatures. With an added fluorine coating to repel dirt and water, you can take this lens anywhere with peace of mind.
Incredible Quality
The Nikon 500mm f/5.6 super telephoto prime lens’ optical construction of 19 elements in 11 groups includes 1 PF (Phase Fresnel) lens element and 3 ED (extra-low dispersion) to reduce flare and chromatic aberrations to give you clear images with great color-balance. An anti-reflective nano crystal coating virtually eliminates internal lens element reflections to effectively eliminate unwanted ghosting and flaring.
Ultimate Control
The new AF system achieves faster speeds by make the lens elements in the focusing group lighter. A new VR mechanism offers camera shake compensation equivalent of 4.01-stop image stabilization in with Normal or Sport mode. The lens’ electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism gives you exceptionally precise aperture control. This lens is compatible with the all-new Nikon Z series thanks to the Nikon FTZ Mount Adapter.
