The Sigma Art 24-70mm f/2.8 emphasizes on image quality and features a rugged metal barrel providing a new level of usability and durability. It employs aspherical elements that undergo a highly precise level of polishing resulting in elements which are thicker in the center than on the edges. This process helps create stunning image quality and beautiful circular bokeh. This Art line lens offers sophisticated optical performance and abundant expressive power to deliver faithfully on your artistic vision.

Incredible Image Clarity and Smoothness

Packed with a comprehensive approach towards chromatic aberrations correction, the lens Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG OS HSM ART is engineered to provide incredible image clarity and smoothness. Specific attention was also paid in eliminating the color fringing often caused by lateral chromatic aberration. This is a common problem which is magnified at high resolutions in digital photography. This lens provides exceptionally high-contrast images with subtle gradations in tone and color. The super Multi-Layer Coating combined with Sigma's optimized optical design significantly reduces reflections between the image sensor and the lens surfaces. The large image circles lens means there will always be enough peripheral illumination to avoid vignetting.

Quiet and Fast Autofocusing

The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 HSM’s employs a motor powered by ultrasonic waves to produce a quiet, yet high-speed AutoFocus. You can enjoy high performance with low noise in a variety of shooting situations. To ensure stability during focusing, this lens’ internal element group move without changing the lens’ physical length. The lens’ Optical Stabilizer utilizes a built-in mechanism that compensates for camera shake. It alleviates camera movement when shooting handheld.

Outstanding Optical Performance

This Sigma Lens’ optical design utilizes three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass lens elements and four aspherical lens elements that help minimize optical aberrations. They provide outstanding edge-to-edge image clarity with reduced minimizes coma, which causes points of light to streak, and transverse chromatic aberration, which cannot be corrected via aperture control. The optical system also minimizes distortion, which can be especially prominent in wide-angle shots.

Beautiful Bokeh Effect

This lens offers outstanding photographic expression at wide-open aperture. The area in focus is extremely sharp, while the background giving a beautiful bokeh effect. Since large-diameter zoom lenses are often used at wide-open aperture, special attention is paid to the shape of the bokeh, aiming for perfect circularity.
