The Adam Audio Sub12 is a powerful subwoofer designed to extend the low-frequency capabilities of any near or midfield monitoring system down to 22Hz. A sturdy special woofer with extended cone travel and a heavy-duty coil have been optimized for accurate reproduction from a bass reflex enclosure. The down-firing bass reflex tube avoids intrusive ventilation noise because of its generous size and shape. The PWM amplifier produces over 90 percent efficiency and can handle critical passages without overheating for long periods. An additional output allows you to cascade as many subwoofers as needed. The Sub12 subwoofer provides a precise combination of low cutoff frequency (minus 3 dB at 22Hz) and an undistorted high sound pressure level (115dB at 1m).

A Series of woofers are constructed with a unique blend of mineral stone fibers that have been baked together to create a lightweight but highly stable material. The mineral composition, layering, and geometry of each cone are specific to the driver used in each model. By combining this material with a new magnet system, A Series woofers produce high output with low distortion, delivering a clean low-end.

Midrange Driver

Adapted from the groundbreaking Adam Audio DCH midrange driver used by the S Series speakers, the A-Series midrange driver delivers a clean sound in a critical part of the frequency range where humans are especially sensitive to the coloration of the sound. Using a dedicated driver for the midrange further helps clarify lows and highs by eliminating the need for woofers to reproduce midrange frequencies and thus reducing distortion.
