The Audio-Technica AT4041 is a small diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone built for critical studio recording, broadcast, and live sound applications. Its low mass diaphragm captures fast transients with an extended 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, making it especially useful for acoustic guitar, piano, brass, drum overheads, and other sources where detail and articulation matter.
Detailed Transient Response
The low mass diaphragm improves transient response and extends bandwidth while reducing handling and mechanical noise transfer. Transformerless circuitry helps minimize low frequency distortion and preserves fast transients, giving engineers a clean signal path for instruments with sharp attacks and complex harmonic detail.
Focused Cardioid Pickup
The cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup from the sides and rear, helping isolate the intended source in studios and live environments. The microphone handles sound pressure levels up to 145 dB SPL, allowing it to capture both detailed acoustic instruments and louder sources without requiring a separate pad.
Control Unwanted Low Frequencies
A switchable 80 Hz high pass filter with a 12 dB per octave slope reduces low frequency room noise, vibration, and proximity related buildup when a full low end response is not required. The rugged turned brass housing supports regular professional use, while the included stand clamp, windscreen, and carrying case simplify setup and transport.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
