Balanced sound, decent soundstage, good build. Stellar value!
"This is one solid pair of headphones. Let not the price undermine the quality of these. I'd describe the sound to be 'neutral' without any more words, just the way Audio Technica describe them. The Bass is clear and punchy, never boomy. Sub-bass present but not great. Mids are very detailed with extremely good dynamic range for both male and female vocals. They may feel a little recessed, just a little but again very natural. Treble is sparkly but not irritating. Soundstage is very good for the price and resolution is fantastic. Finally I'd praise them for their tonality for how natural and accurate they feel without any muddiness across the spectrum. I'd recommend these for monitoring and non-fatiguing listening for several hours. The M50 may be little bass and treble heavy compared to these. Somebody who wants versatile headphones for a variety of musical genres, that too on a budget, look no further!!"
