The newest revolutionary body shape was designed by Breedlove Performer Pro Concert Thinline Aged Toner CE European Spruce-Indian Rosewood Acoustic-Electric Guitar geniuses in Bend, Oregon. Its concert body has been an amazing player for more than three decades with its balanced sound, versatile play, and comfortable size. For the last few years, the designers have been tinkering with ways to get that same depth and projection in a thinner-bodied instrument that would reduce arm angle, and therefore arm fatigue. The Concert Thinline has a 3/4-inch shallower body than the traditional Concert with the same range, projection, and resonance. The Organic Pro Performer is the first production guitar line to offer this innovative shape, and we’re confident that everyone who plays it will fall in love with it. Though initially built to accommodate players with smaller frames and shorter arms, none of us in the shop can put this guitar down. It’s just so comfortable. With a European spruce top and all-solid Indian rosewood back and sides, this guitar gives an all-new feel to a classic look and sound. Add in Fishman Flex Plus-T electronics, and you’ve got a powerhouse instrument that you want to hold in your lap all day long.
Sustainable and Clear Cut Free
Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest, and the planet.
European Spruce
As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. With the Organic Pro Collection years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be sure that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected-each yielding many dozens of tops sets-with an eye towards keeping the old-growth stands robust for decades to come.
Indian Rosewood
The familiar scooped sound profile of a classic dreadnought comes largely from East Indian rosewood, which emphasizes round bass tones and clear trebles, leaving a valley custom-made for the human voice. The same carefully sourced qualities offer presence and definition to smaller bodies, along with great dynamic range.
Concert Body Shape
The Concert is the most popular body shape, favored by players because it is well-balanced, compact, comfortable to play, and offers all the qualities of a great-sounding guitar. It generates a wonderfully articulate range of tone with an ample low end that is never boomy but always felt. The concert works well when fingerstyle, as vocal accompaniment, or at a full strum.
Cascade Bracing For Custom Shop Sound
Conceived in the shadow of the Cascade Mountain Range, Breedlove’s Cascade Bracing delivers pinnacle acoustic sound and American ingenuity in guitars for everyone. Every USA-made Breedlove guitar gets hand-voiced by one of the builders in Bend, Oregon. These craftspeople achieve sonic perfection by meticulously shaping each instrument’s internal bracing. But, they are not just artists and artisans, they are guitar geeks. They keep meticulous records-every refinement, every change, every delicate curl of wood off the chisel gets logged in the database.
