The Electro-Harmonix Rams Head Big Muff Distortion/Sustainer Guitar Pedal is a faithful reproduction of the highly coveted 1973 Violet Ram’s Head Big Muff Pi heard on countless classic recordings and famous guitar solos. The EHX Ram’s Head Big Muff Pi delivers the unmistakable articulate string separation and exceptional sustain that’s made the V2 Big Muff so sought after. It comes with a few choice updates for convenience, including true bypass switching, an LED to indicate effect status, and the option of being powered by a 9-volt AC adapter.
Powering the Ram’s Head Big Muff Pi
The Ram’s Head Big Muff Pi may be powered by a 9V battery or an optional 9VDC AC Adapters such as the EHX9.6DC-200 or any Boss or Ibanez style AC adapters capable of delivering at least 30mA. Plug the output of the adapter into the 9V power jack located at the top of the pedal. The battery may be left in or taken out when using an AC Adapter. The current draw is approximately 2.0mA at 9VDC.
Changing the Battery
To change the 9V battery, remove the 4 screws on the bottom of the Ram’s Head Big Muff Pi. Take off the bottom plate and change the battery. Avoid touching the circuit board while the bottom plate is off. Replace the bottom plate and screws.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

You have 30 days to make a return. During the holiday season, from November 1 to December 31, we extend the return window to 60 days.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
