The EVE Audio SC3012 Active 3-Way Main Studio Monitor delivers incomparable power combined with breathtaking precision. The big cabinet with an even bigger sound. It features a frequency range of 25 Hz to 21 kHz, a 12-inch woofer size, and 130 dB maximum sound pressure level. For large recording and mastering studios, film and television post-production facilities, cinema applications, and in-wall installations, nothing beats the main monitor SC3012. The SC3012 system features a very powerful amplifier array, with one amplifier per driver. All drivers, and especially the proprietary AMT RS6 tweeter, are developed to deliver high sound pressure levels, extremely low distortion, and optimized directivity. Together with the ultra-stiff plywood front plate and special inner construction to lower resonances, they offer a smooth directivity, highly defined mids, pristine high frequencies, and a powerful and tight low end. The SC3012 systems are also built with in-wall installations in mind. In this case, simply adjust the filter controls to 'in-wall'. A set of high-density foam is provided to close the backfiring bass ports. The silver module housing the midrange driver and the AMT RS6 tweeter can be rotated by 90 degrees allowing you to set up the speakers either horizontally or vertically.

Safe Fade-In
A slow volume increase when switching on protects ears and equipment. The SC3012 is a high-resolution speaker, which sits at the crossroads of power and precision. This monitor is perfectly at home in any serious recording or mastering studio. One sophisticated 12-inch double-coated low resonance metal diaphragm woofer covers a frequency range to a low 25 Hz (minus 3 dB). Its long excursion driver will easily reproduce the lowest frequencies with an extraordinarily low harmonic distortion level. The SC3012 also features a specially developed 5-inch midrange unit. Its glass fibre layered Rohacel sandwich diaphragm is responsible for clear and detailed midrange frequency reproduction. Both the 12-inch SilverCone woofer and 5-inch SilverCone midrange are equipped with the very low distortion copper cap magnet system. The Air Motion Transformer (AMT) RS6 is exclusive to SC3012 and its smaller brother SC3010 and completes the system. The RS6 was developed to allow the SC3012 to couple a faithful high-frequency reproduction along with a clear and detailed high mid-range. This new AMT is 2.5 times bigger than the RS1, RS2 and RS3 Air Motion Transformer units, and it is a crucial part of the system as it helps to couple the middle and high frequencies with great precision. The crossover frequency goes down to 1800 Hz, ensuring a smooth directivity, and a very well-defined mid to high-range response.
Full Power with No Compromise
Each driver is powered by its own custom-specified PWM amplifier. Tweeter and midrange are supported with a 250 W amplifier each while the bass woofer is amplified with a bridged 800 W PWM module. All drivers are protected with a limiter detection circuit. With a maximum output level of 118 dB (SPL at 1 m) you'll easily be able to judge your mixes precisely, whatever their intended output level is. Simply put, the SC3012 is the perfect match of robustness and accuracy, where the whole becomes more than the sum of the parts.
