The Fender Vintera III series delivers meticulously crafted vintage recreations that capture the authentic look, feel, and tone of iconic Fender guitars from the '50s, '60s, and '70s.
The Vintera III Late '60s Precision Bass features an alder body and maple neck with rosewood fingerboard for classic Fender tone that's full of punch and clarity. The late '60s C-shape maple neck with 7.25-inch radius maple or rosewood fingerboard and vintage-tall frets provides supreme comfort and outstanding feel. At its heart, you'll find a vintage-style late '60s split-coil pickup that delivers all the punchy and powerful, warm and woody tone that made Fender famous. Other features include a vintage-style 4-saddle bridge for rock-solid intonation and sustain, and vintage-style lollipop tuning machines for enhanced tuning stability.
Embrace the authentic vintage spirit and legendary sound of Vintera III – where every detail tells the story.
Alder Body
A classic Fender tonewood known for resonance, punch and clarity, alder has a balanced and lively tone with beefy mids and a robust low-end.
Maple Neck with 7.25-Inch Radius Round-Laminated Rosewood or Maple Fingerboard and Vintage Tall Frets
The 7.25-inch radius round-laminated rosewood or maple fingerboard provides vintage comfort and feel, while vintage-tall frets provide slightly more height than vintage for big bends and wide vibrato.
Late ‘60s C-Shaped Neck
This classic '60s shape is comfortably rounded and starts off slim at the nut, thickening moderately toward the 12th fret.
Vintage-Style Late ‘60s Split-Coil Pickup
Late '60s P Bass pickups deliver the era's signature blend of punchy attack and fundamental thump, providing exceptional note definition with powerful low-end presence and crisp articulation that cuts through any mix with authoritative bass tone and dynamic response.
Fender Stamped Non-reversed Lollipop Tuners
A rarity from the factory on Precision Basses of the era, these tuning machines offer the look and feel of vintage machines while delivering proven tuning precision.
4-Saddle Vintage-Style Bridge with Steel Saddles
A vintage-style four-saddle bridge with steel saddles provides solid tuning stability and precise intonation.
