The Fender Limited Edition American Ultra II Jazz Bass combines select roasted ash construction with a rosewood fingerboard and a control layout built for wide tonal shaping. Its sculpted body contours and neck heel support comfortable access across the instrument, while the Natural finish and black anodized aluminum pickguard give this limited edition model a distinct visual identity.
Fast Neck Feel and Refined Access
The roasted quartersawn maple neck uses a Modern D profile, Ultra Satin urethane finish, graphite reinforcement, and Posiflex support rods. A 10 to 14 inch compound radius rosewood fingerboard pairs Ultra rolled edges with 21 medium jumbo frets and Luminlay side dots. The 34 inch scale and 1.5 inch Graph Tech TUSQ nut preserve familiar Jazz Bass dimensions, while the tapered heel helps make the upper register easier to reach.
Custom 60s Pickups and Flexible EQ
Custom Shop Custom 60s single coil Jazz Bass pickups cover sounds from vintage warmth to modern snap. The active bass preamp adds S-1 switching for active or passive operation, a passive tone control, and 3 band active EQ. A separate midrange selector switches between 325 Hz and 750 Hz, giving players two focused midrange centers for shaping presence and body from the same instrument.
Performance Focused Hardware
The 4 saddle adjustable HiMass bridge supports either top load or string through body setup. Fender lightweight tuning machines use tapered shafts, while locking strap buttons add a practical stage focused detail. Heavy knurled flat top controls, nickel and chrome hardware, and the included deluxe molded case round out a limited edition Jazz Bass built around precise adjustment, broad control, and modern playability.
