The Fender Custom Shop 1951 Telecaster Time Machine in Aged Nocaster Blonde reproduces the measured feel and voiced tone of an early Telecaster while supplying components that serve modern studio and stage workflows. Built to the 1951 specification, this Custom Shop instrument delivers the neck profile, pickup response, and hardware layout that players and collectors expect from a period correct reissue.
Neck Shape and Playability
The neck is a single piece 2A flame quartersawn maple carved to a 1951 U back shape, measured at .845 inch at the first fret and .900 inch at the 12th, with a 7.25 inch to 12 inch compound radius and 21 narrow tall 6105 frets. Those specific measurements give the instrument a vintage hand feel at lower positions while allowing clearer articulation higher up the neck, so players can track precise single note lines and still strum open chords with characteristic Tele snap.
Construction, Electronics, and Hardware
The body is two piece select ash with an offset seam and lacquer finish that contributes to the guitar's resonance and vintage appearance. Electronics are Custom Shop hand wound 51 Nocaster pickups paired with 51 modified Nocaster wiring and a three way switch for the classic single coil voice. Hardware includes an American Vintage strings through body Tele bridge with three brass saddles, a bone nut, vintage style tuning machines with Fender logo, and a vintage style disc string tree to reinforce the era correct response and tuning behavior.
The instrument is serialized R142945 and ships with a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity for documented provenance and protected transport. Whether recording in the studio, performing on stage, or adding to a collection, this 1951 Telecaster Time Machine offers source‑verified period details and hand crafted electronics that address common buyer concerns about fit, feel, and documented origin.
