The 1951 Precision Bass Time Machine reissue recreates early postwar electric bass character with verified, high‑grade appointments. The aged nocaster blonde lacquered finish and journeyman relic detailing give visible vintage patina while the select ash body and quartersawn maple neck provide a resonant tonal foundation for recording and live use.
Heritage Construction With Player Focus
Construction pairs a two piece select ash body with a one piece quartersawn maple neck shaped to a 1960 Oval C profile, producing warm lows and clear harmonic overtones. The neck uses a vintage compound radius that eases from 7.25 inches to 9.5 inches and is fitted with 21 narrow tall 6105 frets and a bone nut to combine period feel with stable tuning and comfortable fretting across the neck.
Period Electronics and Sustain-Oriented Hardware
Custom shop hand wound 55/56 single coil pickups and Fat 50s wiring capture focused low mids and articulate string attack for both direct recording and miked amp tones. The bridge is an American Vintage strings through body Tele style with three brass saddles for pronounced sustain, and vintage style tuners with visible Fender logo provide a historic look with modern tuning control.
Source-listed accessories include a deluxe hardshell case, strap, and certificate of authenticity so the instrument is packaged for transport and documented for provenance. For players and collectors seeking a historically faithful 1951 Precision Bass voice with tangible construction proof, this Time Machine model delivers the documented features that matter when comparing high-end reissues.
