The Abbey Road Studiomatic is a full hollowbody guitar created through a collaboration between Gretsch and Abbey Road Studios. Built for studio use, it provides stable tone, mix-ready control, and hardware designed for reliable recording sessions.
All-Maple Hollowbody Construction
The body uses all-maple tonewoods with parallel bracing for a clear acoustic response. This construction supports a bright tone that works well in layered tracks. The double-cutaway design also gives easy fret access for clean takes across the entire neck.
Custom Filter’Tron Pickups
The instrument is equipped with two Custom Filter’Tron humbuckers that deliver hum-free performance with the clarity of single-coil-style tones. These pickups help recordings sit cleanly in a mix without extra noise management.
Dual-Mode Rumble Filter Circuit
Developed with Abbey Road Studios, the Rumble Filter provides two levels of low-frequency reduction for each pickup. This feature helps prevent muddiness in multitrack sessions and allows the guitar to maintain definition without heavy EQ adjustments.
Player-Friendly Neck and Fingerboard
A maple set neck paired with an ebony fingerboard delivers smooth playability. The 12-inch radius supports comfortable chording and clean bending, helping maintain consistency during long recording sessions.
Bigsby B60 Vibrato and Adjusto-Matic Bridge
The Bigsby B60 tailpiece gives controlled vibrato effects, while the Adjusto-Matic bridge supports tuning stability. These features help players add movement and expression without sacrificing overall tracking accuracy.
Gold Hardware and Case Included
Gold-finished hardware, sealed locking tuners, and G-Arrow knobs complete the design. The guitar comes with a fitted hardshell case for protection during storage or transport
