"Not bad for the money, but even with my amatuer skills at setting up a guitar i did bring it to my local luthier to do a fret level and file the ends due to fret sprout, which much can be attributed to changes temperatures, however this is the second Ibanez i have got Indonesia made where the fret work wasnt exactly what i would expect from a mid tier guitar, and the stock pickups, which historically have been known to be lack luster will definitely need swapped, the quantum pups in the bridge position are a bit bright and chimey. Overall still a great deal on a beaitiful guitar, just wish Ibanez would put the heat on their Indonesian builders to step it up a bit with the fret finish."

focus pro boom
"Guitar arrived in two days, fret finish is a bit wonky but not pro focus issue. . . . Ibanez get your shat together this is supposed to be a $1000 guitar!"
Not too shabby but….
"Focus Pro did their part, arrived quickly in perfect shape packaged with care. Excellent price. As far as Ibanez goes, this is the 2nd $1,000 range Ibanez ive got that is average at best. The fretwork is definitely below average, ive had $200-$300 guitars with better fret work. High frets abundant and fret sprout alll the way down the neck. Love the edge zero 2 trem, love the body shape and paint is flawless, decent pickups and nice features. The neck however is something id expect on a beginner entry level guitar, in fact i have bought several in the $300 range that are far superior to fretwork on the Ibanez, and this is the second one I’ve received that the neck and fretwork were not up to the level a $1,000 brand name guitar should be. I sent the first one back, that one was not from Focus Pro and it was an S770, but this one i will keep only due to the fact i got a SUPER good price on it, but that savings will have to be spent on a professional level crown and polish. This will be the last Ibanez i purchase for a while, they lost a die hard fan, when an Epiphone that retails for hundreds less is much much better quality than an Ibanez js140m, you got issues Ibanez."
