Body, Neck, and Fingerboard
The 5pc maple and walnut neck provides tonal clarity and superior attack. The Panga Panga fingerboard features a beautiful wood grain which produces a tight low and mid-range, along with a sharp attack on high end. Medium-sized frets enhance the accuracy of your notes. A beautiful flamed maple top over an okoume body provides a bright and powerful sound.
Nordstrand Big Break and AeroSilk Piezo Pickups
Nordstrand ‘Big Break’ neck pickups cram a powerful split coil into a soapbar-style pickup, producing a full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal texture, while retaining the clarity that is characteristic of single coil tone with noiseless performance. The custom bridge contains the magic of the AeroSilk Piezo system to provide that sense of ‘air’ that characterizes upright sound.
Ibanez 2-Band EQ with Piezo Active Tone Control
The EQ section incorporates the controls of the magnetic pickup(s) with the AeroSilk Piezo system. Controls include a Master volume, bass and treble controls for the pickup(s) and a Master volume and a tone control for the Piezo system.
AeroSilk MR5 Bridge
The AeroSilk MR5 bridge has unique saddles which were specifically-designed to work in concert with the piezo pickups, enhancing the acoustic ‘Upright’ quality of the tone. The luminescent side dot position marks make it easy for players to see fretboard position marks when performing on dark stages. It has an extended 30-fret fretboard for playing upper register notes usually only accessible on an upright.
