For over 40 years, Jackson guitars have defined metal and hard rock. The Pro Origin 1985 Series celebrates that legacy with the classic San Dimas style, original-spec pickups, and resonant alder bodies for warm, punchy tone. Speed-optimized maple necks and 12-inch to 16-inch compound radius fingerboards deliver fast, precise play, while top-mounted double-locking tremolos give ultimate control. Combining vintage vibe with modern performance, these guitars let you play loud, play proud, and channel the spirit of the LA metal scene.
Jackson J90-C and J50-N Pickups
One of the most popular Jackson pickups from the early days was brought back in this series. With ceramic magnets in the J90-C and alnico V magnets in the J50-N, these pickups deliver the classic tone that made Jackson legendary. The low end is tight and responsive, while the attack slices through the mix with precision, perfect for metal and hard rock.
Top-Mounted Floyd Rose 1000 Series Double-Locking Tremolo
Unleash your inner shredder with the top-mounted Floyd Rose 1000! This tremolo provides ultimate dive bomb capability and precision for face-melting solos. Its double-locking design keeps your guitar perfectly in tune even under aggressive tremolo use, letting you shred and wail with confidence.
12-inch to 16-Inch Compound Radius Fingerboard
Jackson pioneered the 12-inch to 16-inch compound radius fingerboard, which flattens toward the heel from a more rounded profile at the nut. This design offers comfortable chording and riffing near the nut, with smooth, fast bends and optimal shred articulation closer to the body.
Alder San Dimas Body
Crafted from resonant alder, the San Dimas body provides a balanced tone with warmth, punch, and excellent sustain. Its shape and construction make it ideal for both aggressive riffing and melodic playing, delivering clarity across all registers.
Bolt-on Maple Neck with Graphite Reinforcement
The speed-optimized maple neck features a scarf joint and graphite reinforcement for maximum stability and strength. Its fast profile allows for effortless shredding while maintaining precise intonation under heavy play.
22 Jumbo Frets
Equipped with 22 jumbo frets, this guitar allows smooth note bends, fast runs, and precise articulation for both lead and rhythm playing.
Pointed 6-in-line Headstock with Sealed Die-Cast Tuners
The iconic 6-in-line headstock with sealed die-cast tuners ensures stable tuning and smooth string changes, keeping your guitar ready for intense sessions.
Volume, Tone, and 3-Way Toggle Switch
Easily shape your sound with intuitive controls. Switch between bridge, neck, or both pickups to cover a wide range of tones, from aggressive metal leads to warm rhythm textures.
