The VFZ-1 Fuzz Pedal brings the sound of classic late-60s fuzz into a modern and reliable format. Inspired by the iconic two-transistor Mk 1.5 circuit, it delivers expressive breakup and strong interaction with your guitar while solving the noise and stability issues of vintage units.
Two-Transistor Fuzz Circuit
Based on a classic late-60s design that defined early fuzz tones. Produces rich breakup and natural compression that responds well to picking dynamics and guitar volume changes.
Silicon Transistors with Vintage Voicing
Uses two carefully selected Silicon transistors tuned to behave like Germanium. Provides consistent tone, stable operation, and reduced noise across different environments.
Precision Biasing
Each transistor is set to an optimized operating point. Expands the usable sweet spot and improves cleanup when rolling back the guitar volume.
High Input Impedance Design
Allows placement anywhere in the signal chain, including after buffers or Wah pedals. Preserves guitar harmonics and avoids the limitations of vintage fuzz circuits.
Crunch Switch
Introduces lower-gain overdrive tones inspired by volume-rolled-back fuzz sounds. Lets players access classic cleanup tones without adjusting guitar controls.
Bass Cut Control
Adjusts low-frequency input before the gain stages. Helps tighten the sound for humbuckers, neck pickups, or rhythm playing.
Tone Cut Control
Rolls off high frequencies at the output. Useful for smoothing the top end or dialing in focused lead tones.
Low-Noise and Pedalboard Ready
Modern components and layout reduce unwanted noise. Compact enclosure and standard 9V power support easy integration into modern pedalboards.
