The Sontronics DM-1T is a compact small diaphragm condenser microphone developed specifically for toms and percussion. Its cardioid pickup pattern focuses on the drum while helping reduce bleed from nearby kit elements, making it easier to capture the attack, body, and resonance of toms in dense live or studio setups. Sontronics also recommends it for percussion including cajón, djembe, bongos, tabla, and congas.
Built for Loud, Fast Transients
A switchable minus 10 dB pad lets the DM-1T handle sound pressure levels up to 135 dB SPL, giving drummers and engineers headroom for hard hits without sacrificing the fast transient response expected from a condenser microphone. Its 30 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response is tailored for tom and percussion capture, while 14 dB A weighted equivalent noise helps maintain a clean signal.
Compact for Tight Drum Setups
The 91 x 22 x 22 mm body is small enough to position around crowded drum hardware without interfering with the player. A standard 3-pin XLR output connects to professional audio equipment, and the microphone operates from 48V phantom power. A mic clip is included for straightforward mounting.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
