The Spector Icon NS-5 Bolt-On brings the fully curved NS body shape to a 5-string bass with Aguilar electronics and a 35-inch scale. This Black Stain Gloss version pairs an alder body with a quilted maple top, creating a figured wood presentation beneath the gloss finish. Gold hardware completes the look while the instrument keeps the familiar Spector focus on a curved body, brass nut, and practical tone control.
Aguilar Electronics
Two Aguilar DCB soapbar pickups are custom voiced for Spector and work with an Aguilar OBP-2 preamp. The control layout provides volume and blend plus treble cut and boost and bass cut and boost. Players can balance the two pickups, then shape the high and low frequency response directly from the instrument. This gives the NS-5 a flexible control set for changing playing styles, arrangements, and stage or studio needs.
35 Inch Scale and Rosewood Fingerboard
The bolt-on neck is made from 3 pieces of maple and carries a rosewood fingerboard with a 15.75-inch radius and 24 frets. A 1.81-inch brass nut and 35-inch scale define the 5-string playing platform. Spector Crown Shape inlays provide familiar brand detail along the fingerboard, while the curved body contours follow specifications developed by the Spector Custom Shop team.
Gold Hardware and Locking Bridge
The hardware package includes a locking diecast bridge and sealed diecast tuners, all finished in gold. Nickel round-wound strings are fitted in a .045 to .130 gauge range. Together with the alder body, quilted maple top, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, dual soapbar pickups, and OBP-2 preamp, the Icon NS-5 Bolt-On presents a clearly defined Spector setup for players seeking extended range with direct onboard tone shaping.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
