The TAMA Starclassic Walnut/Birch 4-piece shell pack combines the focused attack of birch with the low and mid-frequency warmth of walnut. The configuration centers on a 22 x 16-inch bass drum and adds 10 x 8-inch and 12 x 9-inch toms plus a 16 x 14-inch floor tom. Finished in Garnet Red Sparkle, this shell pack gives drummers a versatile acoustic foundation for stage, rehearsal, and studio setups.
Walnut and Birch Hybrid Shells
The toms and floor tom use 6 mm shells with 4 plies of birch and 2 inner plies of American Black Walnut. The bass drum uses an 8 mm construction with 5 plies of birch and 2 inner plies of American Black Walnut. TAMA combines these woods to balance the focused attack and projection of birch with the warmer tonal character of walnut.
Flexible Tom Positioning and Resonance
The Star Cast mounting system uses aluminum construction to support tonal vibration while giving players flexible tom placement. Quick Lock tom brackets help preserve positioning between setup and breakdown, while rubber lining reduces vibration transfer. The included MTH1000 double tom holder uses TAMA's omni ball system for extensive positioning adjustment.
Player-Focused Drum Hardware
TAMA equips the series with clear two-ply batter heads on the rack and floor toms, a clear bass drum batter head, air-cushioned floor tom feet, protective bass drum claw hook spacers, and a secure bass drum spur bracket. Together, these details support practical setup, consistent positioning, and the resonant response expected from the Starclassic Walnut/Birch series.

Returns are incredibly simple. Please log into your account, find your item you wish to return and follow the prompts to make a return. If you do not have an account, click here to find your order and make a return.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
