The Yamaha MGP24X A combines 24 line inputs with hands on analog mixing and onboard digital processing for live sound, installed systems, and recording workflows. It provides 16 mono line inputs, 4 stereo line inputs, and 16 microphone inputs, giving engineers room for microphones, instruments, playback sources, and other connected audio equipment. Six AUX sends and 2 FX sends expand routing options for monitor mixes and effects.

Discrete Class A Preamps and Channel Control

Sixteen microphone inputs use Yamaha D-PRE discrete Class A preamps with 48V phantom power per channel. A 100 hertz high pass filter helps manage low frequency content before it reaches the mix. Yamaha X-pressive EQ provides channel tone shaping, while channel compression on channels 9 through 16 gives direct dynamics control from the surface.

Routing and Digital Processing

The console provides 4 GROUP buses with the stereo bus, 2 matrix outputs, and 1 mono output for flexible signal distribution. Dual processors combine REV-X reverb with 16 SPX effects, and both processors can operate at the same time. The Stereo Hybrid Channel adds Priority Ducker and Leveler functions. A graphic EQ and stereo bus master compressor add further control for system tuning and overall dynamics.

USB Recording and Universal Power

Record Stereo Out or Matrix Out 1 and 2 directly to a compatible USB storage device in WAV or MP3 format, and play supported audio files from USB storage. The internal universal power supply accepts 100 to 240 volts at 50 hertz or 60 hertz. The mixer measures 819 millimeters wide, 169 millimeters high, and 565 millimeters deep, with a net weight of 15.5 kilograms.
