The Yamaha MGP32XA brings 32 line inputs, 24 mic inputs, flexible bus routing, onboard processing, and USB device recording into one hands-on analog mixing surface. It gives sound engineers direct access to channel controls for live events, installed systems, rehearsals, and production spaces while adding digital tools that reduce the need for separate processors.
Analog Control with Yamaha Processing
Discrete Class A D-PRE microphone preamps support the mono input channels, with 48V phantom power available per channel and a 100 Hz high-pass filter. X-pressive EQ adds focused tone shaping, while 1 Knob compressors on channels 9 through 24 simplify dynamic control. The stereo master adds graphic EQ plus standard and multiband compression, giving the operator additional control over the main mix before it reaches the sound system.
Routing, Effects, and USB Recording
The console provides 6 AUX sends, 2 FX sends, 4 group buses, a stereo bus, 2 matrix outputs, and a mono output for monitor, zone, and main feed routing. Dual digital effects run at the same time, pairing REV-X with 8 programs and SPX with 16 programs. The built-in USB device recorder can capture WAV or MP3 files and play back MP3, WAV, and AAC audio, making it useful for event capture, playback cues, and reference recordings.
The MGP32XA also uses an internal 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz power supply. Its 40.4-inch width gives engineers a large physical control surface with dedicated faders and channel strips, while the 41.9-pound chassis suits front of house, education, house of worship, event production, and installed audio workflows.
