Beginner piano students will benefit from Yamaha’s P-45 Entry-Level Digital Piano which is designed to help new pianists build proper finger techniques during the learning phase. The P-45 is an 88-note weighted-keyboard digital piano with basic features for those just starting out. Its graded hammer standard (GHS) weighted action mimics a traditional acoustic piano with a heavier touch in the low end and a lighter touch in the high end. The P-45 has advanced wave memory (AWM) sampling, which digitally records the sound of an acoustic piano.
88-Note GHS Weighted Action Keyboard
Yamaha's GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) weighted action has heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the high end, just like the hammers inside an acoustic piano. Great for the aspiring pianist, practicing on the GHS action builds the proper finger technique for when the time comes to perform on an acoustic piano. Furthermore, it features a matte finish on the black keys, so they’re not as slippery, helping the beginner focus more on finger techniques.
Yamaha's Classic Sound Engine for Realistic Tone
AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) sampling uses digital technology to record the sound of an acoustic piano. AWM Stereo Sampling creates a deeper, richer and more spacious sound by using pairs of waveforms (L and R) captured with two microphones. The P-45 uses AWM to play one sample per key at varying levels of volume and timbre.
Simple, Single-Button Operation
The Yamaha P-45 Digital Piano offers various settings only at the click of a single button. Just hold down the Grand Piano/Function button and press the keyboard to change voices, play demo sources, configure the metronome, and much more.
64-Note Polyphony and 10 Preset Voices
Yamaha P-45’s 64-note polyphony allows you to perform moderately dense piano passages, even using heavy sustain pedal, with few or no dropped notes being cut off. Its Dual Mode lets you combine two sounds together, like piano and strings, for a new playing experience. This piano comes with 10 preset voices. With four built-in Reverb Effects, and Metronome, Tempo, and Transpose controls, this compact digital piano is surely to make an impression!
Compact and Lightweight Design
Slim and stylish form with a depth of less than 12 inches, the P-45 requires little space. At only 25 pounds with a built-in sound system, it can be easily moved anywhere in your home or even used for performance outside. The USB to HOST port allows you to connect and interact with a wide variety of educational, music creation or music entertainment applications on a computer or mobile device.
Conserve Energy with Convenient Auto Power Off Feature
The Auto Power Off feature automatically shuts down the instrument after a specified period of inactivity to conserve energy. You can customize how long it will wait before shutting down, or disable it if you prefer.
