TAMA Octobans give drummers four high-register voices without changing shell diameter. Each 6-inch shell uses a different depth to establish its pitch range, creating a graduated set that can be tuned melodically. This four-piece configuration brings together 280 mm, 301 mm, 343 mm, and 390 mm depth Octobans for players who want defined tonal steps within one percussion setup.
Pitch Through Shell Length
Unlike tom sets that change diameter from drum to drum, these Octobans share the same 6-inch diameter. TAMA varies shell length instead. The result is a distinctive group of high-pitched voices with a consistent diameter across the set. Each drum remains tunable, giving the player control over melodic relationships between the four shells. TAMA offers Octobans in both high- and low-pitch sets, and this configuration selects the four shorter high-pitch depths.
Four Graduated Octobans and Dedicated Stand
The set combines the OCT280N, OCT301N, OCT343N, and OCT390N models. Their shell depths progress from 280 mm to 390 mm, covering the high-pitch side of the Octoban range. TAMA pairs the four drums with the HOW49WN stand, a dedicated stand for four Octobans that keeps the complete group together in a playable arrangement.
Octobans are among the first original instruments from TAMA and remain a recognizable way to add another tonal layer to a drum or percussion setup. This configuration brings together the four high-pitched models and the matching four-drum stand in one complete set.

You will receive a full refund when you return an item in its original manufacturer’s packaging, undamaged and unmarked. If the item you are returning is priced at less than $35, you will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Please note you will not be refunded any shipping charges.

If your order has been noticeably damaged in transit, we strongly recommend that you refuse delivery and notify us immediately. Claims for missing items or items damaged in transit must be made within 48 hours of delivery.
